Il NUOTO PER SALVAMENTO è una delle 5 discipline agonistiche della Federazione Italiana Nuoto ed ha come obiettivo la simulazione di attività di salvataggio in ambiente acquatico.
Il nuoto per salvemento si sviluppa su: campionati regionali, criteria nazionali di categoria, nazionali assoluti, europei e mondiali. Oltre a numerosi trofei organizzati in varie parti d’Italia.
Oltre all’ottima base di nuoto “puro” si impareranno particolari tecniche con l’utilizzo di attrezzature come: ostacoli, pinne, manichini, torpedo, corde. Si hanno due macro aree: la parte in piscina e la parte in mare, quest’ultima ha attrezzature diverse da quelle elencate in precedenza. Mi soffermerei sulle caratteristiche delle gare in piscina che si sviluppano con le categorie uguali a quelle del nuoto e le distanze sono dai 50 metri ai 200 metri divise su 6 specialità più 6 staffette “veloci” (su base 25 e 50 metri).
Le sette specialità:
1) Nuoto con ostacoli (100 o 200 metri in base alla categoria)
2) 100 metri percorso misto
3) 50 metri trasporto manichino
4) 100 metri pinne e torpedo
5) 100 metri misto lifesaver
6) 100 metri trasporto manichino con pinne
7) 200 metri super lifesaver
